The organizers of the PPTR 2018 meeting, in conjunction with the American Journal of Physiology - Regulatory, Integrative and Comparative Physiology, are pleased to announce an abstract competition for young investigators.  Up to 4 winners will be selected, with the first author of each receiving a reimbursement of their registration fee for the PPTR meeting (up to 250 euro each). To qualify for this award the following conditions must be met.

  • The candidate must be the first author on the submitted abstract and must attend the PPTR meeting to present that work.
  • The candidate must be a ”Young Investigator”, having completed her/his terminal degree (e.g., PhD, MD, etc) within a 5 year period prior to the abstract deadline or currently an undergraduate/graduate student.
  • The authors must agree to submit the work outlined in the abstract to the American Journal of Physiology - Regulatory, Integrative and Comparative Physiology within 6 months following the meeting.  Acceptance of that work for publication is not guaranteed and pages charges will apply should that work be accepted.
